Youth Voices is about considering the perspectives, ideas, experiences and knowledge of young people. Through our Youth Voices initiatives students are given opportunities to design messages and solutions to public health problems.

Multicultural Health Week 2025

NSW Multicultural Health and Communication Service  invited us join in the celebration of Multicultural Health Week. To amplify the voices of young people, we partnered with Rooty Hill High School students, who created messages aligned with the 2025 theme “Healthy Ageing: Older People Are the Heart of the Family and Community.”

Youth Voices Get Active Video Competition 2024

We held a video competition, supported by ACYP, where students created messages to encourage other young people to be active. The students highlighted easy and fun ways to stay active together.

Multicultural Health Week 2024

NSW Multicultural Health and Communication Service invited us to run a video competition to explore the theme ‘Celebrate culture through food with multicultural family lunchboxes’. Students submitted short videos showcasing healthy lunchbox ideas.

Youth Voices Unpacking Vaping Poster Competition 2023

We held a poster competition in partnership with Population Health WSLHD for students in Western Sydney. The competition encouraged young people to create posters that demonstrated the harms of vaping.

Youth Voices COVID-19 Video Competition 2022

Partnering with UNSW and ACYP, high school students from across NSW were invited to submit a short video addressing one of three topics: COVID-19 vaccination, looking after your wellbeing during the pandemic and COVID-19 misinformation.
