Students As LifeStyle Activists (SALSA) is a peer-led leadership program designed to motivate students to increase physical activity and improve diet. SALSA Peer Leaders also enhance their communication, leadership and teamwork skills.
How It Works:
Step 1: University students volunteer to be trained as SALSA Educators.
Step 2: SALSA Educators train volunteer Year 10 students as SALSA Peer Leaders during a one-day workshop held at schools.
Step 3: SALSA Peer Leaders, in teams of 4, will deliver lessons to Year 8 students using a video, games and activities. Â
